Star Trek: The Motion Picture ( Blu-ray )
The crew of the Enterprise are reunited to combat a lethal force field headed toward Earth. This was the first big screen outing for the Trek franchise and it proved to be an ambitious and majestic undertaking (Jerry Goldsmith's score and those incredible special effects are big pluses), but one that ultimately divided the fans. The next film ('The Wrath of Khan') was closer in spirit and tone to the series, but this one is a unique addition to the series and has just as many fans as detractors.
