Into the Void

Deep in the caverns of a 1990s practice room lurks one of New Zealand's loudest and least respectful art-noise-rock-heavy metal bands. Made up of heavy drinking and smoking noise punks, they are also some of trhe country's most well known artists. Although the band was signed to Flying Nun, they have only managed two albums in 30 years. But through earthquakes, drinking, moving, ageing and raging, nothing stops 'The Void' who relentlessly practice every Saturday night. Part art film, part music documentary and part character study, Into the Void is a love letter to the hidden world of crazy Christchurch, warts and all.
