Frodo is Great - Who Is That?

This film follows Bret McKenzie's career diversion from Flight of the Concords into Middle Earth and back again. We travel with Bret, Jemiane Clement and Taika Waititi to Edinburgh where the Flight of the Concords are due to perform. Coming to see their show are a group of Lord of the Ring's fans from around the World who have all noticed McKenzie's brief role as an extra the The Fellowship of the Ring. See what happens when these fans meet each other and the Elf they have called FIGWIT - Frodo Is Great... Who is that? Ian McLellan, Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan and other cast share their thoughts on Figwit's brief but memorable appearance in the film. Peter Jackson, Director of the Lord of the Rings triology sits down for an interview and tells the viewer what it would take for him to work with Figwit again. Barry M. Osborne, Producer of the Lord of the Rings films describes Figwit's initial role in the Fellowship of the Ring and his later involvement in the triology. Liz Mullane, Casting Director describes the process of casting the Elves. Jamie Selkirk, Editor of The Return of the King gives his views on the Figwit phenomenon. We meet fellow Elves from the film to see what they remember from the filming of Figwit's scenes. We travel to Israel to meet the creator of the original fan site and other fans from around the world as the film explores and celebrates early meme culture and the rise of the internet fan. The film features early footage of Flight of the Concords performances and music by some of Mckenzie's other acts.
