The Burmese Harp (Blu-ray)

A moving anti-war drama about a wounded Japanese soldier in British custody during the last days of World War II. Sent out into the Burmese jungle to persuade renegade fighters to surrender, the harp-playing soldier undergoes a spiritual change and becomes obsessed with burying the war dead. Directed by Kon Ichikawa ('An Actor's Revenge') and nominated for a Best Foreign Film Oscar, he also remade the film in 1985. AKA 'Harp of Burma'.
