Modesty Blaise
Of the many '60s cinema spies who arrived in the wake of James Bond, none cut a finer figure than Italian siren Monica Vitti as jewel thief-turned-secret agent Modesty Blaise. Sent by the British government to safeguard a diamond shipment, Vitti and Cockney sidekick Terence Stamp face a wild array of traps set by her archenemy, international criminal Dirk Bogarde, in director Joseph Losey's mad, mod actioner based on the popular comic strip and novels.
