Molly Ringwald and Robert Downey Jr. meet and fall in love and prove themselves by battling against a stacked destiny. This includes her drunken dad (Dennis Hopper) and a gangland nasty (Harvey Keitel) who's pursuing Hopper for gambling debts. Feisty and fast-talking, this is director Toback's best film since 'Fingers'.
