An outstanding adaptation of Jane Austen's novel about five husband-hunting sisters in 19th Century England. Laurence Olivier stars as Mr Darcy (after first choice Clark Gable turned down the role), with Greer Garson as Elizabeth. Aldous Huxley was one of several screenwriters, and an Oscar was awarded for Best Art Direction.
