Mathieu Kassovitz plays a young Frenchman who manages to avoid military service in WWII. His one great talent is his confidence and his ability as a salesman. So, with some help from a true freedom fighter, he sells himself as a hero of the Resistance in 1945 Paris and manages to do so very effectively for the rest of his life.
