The Sound of One Hand Clapping

Explores the world of a generation of Central European migrants who fled their devastated homelands after World War II to start life again in the promised land of Australia. Set in Tasmania where protagonist Buloh (Kristof Kaczmarek) has come from Slovenia, then part of Tito's Yugoslavia, with his wife Maria (Melita Jurisic). This poetic film co-stars Kerry Fox. Richard Flanagan adapted his own novel for his directing debut.
