Village of the Damned
An extremely effective adaptation of John Wyndham's novel 'The Midwich Cuckoos', about strange goings on in a small English village after all the womenfolk discover they are pregnant after a mysterious trance-like sleep, eventually giving birth to blonde-haired children who possess super intellects, telepathic abilities, and an emotionless, amoral group mentality. Remade in 1995 by John Carpenter. Followed by "Children of the Damned".
