White Hunter, Black Heart
A mature, intelligent adaptation of Peter Viertel's novel based on his experiences during the filming of 'The African Queen', and his close-up observations of its macho director John Huston. Clint Eastwood gives an excellent performance as the contrary, self destructive filmmaker, who becomes obsessed with bagging an elephant while on location for this movie in Africa.
