The Wild Bunch

Peckinpah at his violent best. In the Southwest of 1913, Pike Bishop (William Holden) is leader of 'The Wild Bunch', a gang of outlaws coerced by a Mexican general into robbing a U.S. Army gun shipment, a move that has fatal consequences. Robert Ryan is Deke Thornton, who once rode with Pike and now rides on the side of the law. Ernest Borgnine, Warren Oates, Edmond O'Brien, and Ben Johnson co-star in this classic western which broke new ground in the depiction of violence on the screen.
