Wild Palms

James Belushi is a lawyer-turned-television executive whose life becomes a nightmarish power struggle involving mind control. Twenty-five years in the future a pseudo-religious government tries to alter reality through drugs and television. Eerie because it is so plausible, this made for TV miniseries was produced by Oliver Stone and directed by some major names including Kathryn Bigelow ('Near Dark' etc), Keith Gordon ('A Midnight Clear' etc), and Phil Joanou (U2 'Rattle and Hum' etc).
