Working Girl

Melanie Griffith shines as a Staten Island secretary looking to better her position in a Manhattan brokerage firm. When her snooty boss Sigourney Weaver is laid up in a skiing accident, Griffith assumes her role and office and starts wheeling and dealing. You can believe her when she says she has a mind for business and a body for sin. This enjoyable working class fantasy also stars Harrison Ford. An Oscar went to the inspirational Carly Simon song, 'Let the River Run'.
