Dune (3 Hour Version)
David Lynch (director of the original) objected to this special version which was completed without his input and insisted that his name be removed from the credits. The movie is now expanded some 35 minutes over the theatrical release and moves at a much more leisurely pace, but one that clarifies many of the obscurities along the way. Interestingly, this film was originally to have been directed by cult favourite Alejandro Jodorowsky (see 'The Jodorowsky Constellation'), which almost surely would have resulted in a film as incomprehensible as it was interesting...
