An orphan boy in 19th century Belgium struggles to realise his late mother's dream and become a great artist, finding support from his kindly grandfather, a friend who serves as a model and a shaggy dog he saves from a cruel master and who becomes his constant companion. Wonderful adaptation of the classic children's story stars Jeremy James Kissner, Cheryl Ladd, Madylin Sweeten, Jack Warden and Jon Voight.
