Welcome to the Court of Louis XVI in the fabulous Palace of Versailles, France. Outside the gates, the pesants are on the verge of revolting, whilst inside, the aristocracy are gossiping, conspiring and powdering. At the centre of all the decadent intrigue are the Comtesse de Vache (Jennifer Saunders) and her all-knowing maid Lisette (Dawn French). In their own inimitable, irreverent style, our devious duo stir up half a dozen hilarious helpings of hysterics and heinous hairdos.
