Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey

This amazing, truth-is-stranger-than-fiction documentary relates the fascinating life story of Russian-born Leonard Theremin, the inventor of the world's first electronic musical instrument, the Theremin. His self-named Theremins, which are played without being touched, were in high demand from filmmakers and musicians around the globe, featuring in such films as 'Spellbound' and 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' to music from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and most famously, providing the vibrations in The Beach Boys 'Good Vibrations'. He was married to a beautiful American dancer, lived among New York's social elite, and then, in 1938, he mysteriously vanished, not to be seen again for over 50 years! Available on DVD only.
