Small Change

In the quaint French town of Thiers, the streets abound with the sound of children laughing and playing. Most are dealing with such straightforward issues as puppy love and attending school for the first time, but there are also the hungry ones who play upon the heartstrings of neighbours for supper and the lonely ones who cause trouble for attention. But when the truth behind one little boy's petty thievery is revealed, a shockwave is sent through this picturesque town that helps everyone finally see the children for who they truly are. Director Francois Truffaut weaves his love of children and cinema seamlessly together in this tribute to the joys, yearnings, pains and wonders of childhood. Available on DVD only.
