The Three Stooges are more popular today than when they were in their heyday. Their film career spanned 40 years and is divided into 5 periods, depending on who played the "Third Stooge". Moe, Larry and Curly made a total of 97 short subjects over a 13 year period, and also appeared in 6 feature films. Over the act's 50 year history, The Three Stooges went through several personnel changes; when Moe Howard died in 1975, the act ended.
