A Touch of Zen

Spectacular martial arts epic from King Hu, set during the Ming Dynasty, tells of a portrait artist in a small town whose life changes after a beautiful woman moves into the abandoned fort he shares with his mother. When he learns that a wandering swordsman is searching for the woman, whose family was murdered for political reasons, the artist uses his knowledge of military tactics to try to help the woman, whom he has fallen in love with, escape. A milestone in martial arts cinema, filled with gorgeous scenery, superb fights, and an unforgettable finale that ranks as one of the greatest in film history.
