The Big Empty
In this quirky independent comedy, John Person (Jon Favreau) is an out of work actor who's faced with mounting debts and eviction from his apartment. John's pretty neighbour Grace (Joey Lauren Adams), clearly smitten with him, offers him a loan, but John isn't interested in her money. One evening John's weird neighbour Neely (Bud Cort) visits him with an offer: if John carries a blue suitcase to the desert town of Baker and delivers it to a man named Cowboy (Sean Bean), Neely's people will pay John $27,000 - enough to pay off all his debts. He agrees to take the job, but it doesn't turn out as simple as it first seemed... Cowboys. Aliens. Blue suitcases and bowling balls. Strange things are happening out in the middle of nowhere.
