There are only a handful of places on the planet - with names like Jaws, Mavericks and Pipeline - where storms generate waves of monstrous proportions. Only a few people possess the skills and courage to challenge Mother Nature's raw power and ride these towering walls of water. Some of these challenges are successful, others pay the ultimate price. During this winter, some of the largest waves ever recorded are expected to be produced by the El Nino conditions in the Pacific Ocean. This is the story of a small group of surfers and their quest to ride the largest waves ever. Produced for the Discovery Channel.
