The Sea is Watching

From legendary Japanese director Akira Kurosawa comes his final screenplay; a beautifully crafted tale set in 19th-century Edo that centers on O-Shin, a young prostitute who helps Fusanosuke, a samurai on the run after a drunken brawl. The two develop a romantic relationship, but class separates them, and O-Shin later shelters a ne'er-do-well named Ryosuke who may offer her a life away from the brothel. With Nagiko Tohno, Hidetaka Yoshioka; directed by Kei Kumai.
