Like Two Crocodiles

Gabriele (Fabrizio Bentivoglio) is a successful Italian antique dealer living in Paris. He has wealth, status, a girlfriend - a life perfectly manufactured to obliterate any memories of the past. However, he cannot escape his younger days, they haunt his every move... He and his younger brother were the illegitimate children of Pietro (Giancarlo Giannini) and lived with their mistress mother (Valeria Golino) in the countryside. When their mother dies, they move in with his father's "official" family, but Gabriele was despised by his half-brothers and eventually driven away. Now, the adult Gabriele seizes a chance to return to Italy and revenge himself on his evil brothers by ruining them financially. But his trip home is also a journey into his past... A sensitive, emotionally rich tale whose mythic roots lie in the Biblical story of Joseph and his brothers.
