Welcome to Mooseport
In his live-action screen debut (following his vocal stint in "Ice Age"), Ray Romano plays a hardware store owner who plans to run for mayor of his hometown of Mooseport, Maine. Problem is, the town's newest resident, a charismatic former U.S. president (Gene Hackman), also has his eyes on the job and is backed by the city fathers. The two men square off to win over the voters...as well as the attention of veterinarian Maura Tierney, Romano's longtime girlfriend. Amiable comedy co-stars Marcia Gay Harden, Christine Baranski, Fred Savage, Rip Torn.
