The Fog of War

Robert S. McNamara was one of the most controversial and influential political figures of the 20th century. As Secretary of Defence under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, he was leader of the world's most powerful military force during one of the world's most turbulent eras. Now, for the first time ever, McNamara (who was 85 when the film was made) sits down one-on-one with award-winning documentarian Errol Morris ("The Thin Blue Line") to offer a gripping account of the last half century of American politics. An up-close-and-personal interview plus newly released archival footage and recorded White House conversations give a riveting insight into events like the firebombing of Tokyo, the near nuclear catastrophe of the Cuban Missile Crisis and the devastating effects of the Vietnam War. Oscar winner for Best Documentary Feature.
