"The Phantom Of The Opera" (1925, 107 mins) - Lon Chaney stars as the Phantom of the Paris Opera House in this highly acclaimed silent film. With grotesque make-up, eerie lighting and superb cinematography, this early horror film is lauded for its portrayal of the monstrous outsider consumed by his longing for the heavenly Christine (Mary Philbin). With its dramatic use of imagery, "Phantom of the Opera" is cinema at its finest. This feature includes a full orchestral score. "Indestructible Man" (1956, 70 mins) - Inhuman! Invincible! Inescapable! "The Indestructible Man" is classic B grade cinema starring Lon Chaney Jr. as Charles 'Butcher' Benton. Executed in the electric char, he is mistakenly brought back to life in an experimental scientific procedure that has given him amazing strength and bulletproof skin. He sets out to get even with his double-crossing accomplices, all the while being tracked by Lt. Dick Chasen (Casey Adams). With outlandish acting, elements of film noir and Frankenstein themes of creation and destruction, this film is sure to appeal to fans of 50s cult cinema.
