The Charge of the Light Brigade

October 25, 1854: Balaclava, the Crimea; military minds blunder and six hundred gallant Britishers, sabres flashing, ride to their deaths. David Hemmings, Vanessa Redgrave, John Gielgud and Trevor Howard star in this deeply critical view of one of history's worst military mistakes. Playwright John Osborne wrote the first draft of the script, though he went uncredited, and it was later re-worked by Charles Wood.
