1930's leading man Tyrone Power plays a half caste British officer staioned in India. Of mixed heritage, Power struggles to earn the respect of his fellow officers and Indians. Power, however, is up to the task on both the field of battle and the field of love, as heproves loyal to the crown on the former and willing to buck convention in the latter.
