England's Wars with France

This programme harnesses state-of-the-art computer technology to explore, explain and bring new perspectives to some of the most famous battles. "Hastings" - The most famous battle in English history saw not only the death of a king, but the beginning of the end of the Anglo-Saxon way of life. King Harold II's combat-weary troops were eventually undone by superior French battle tactics. "Agincourt" - Outnumbered by six to one and weakened by sickness and disease, the English army at Agincourt should have been no match for their confident French enemy. But the day would be won by sheer pluck and the fearsome English longbow.
