The Stroll

A.k.a. "Progulka". Olya (Irina Pegova) steps out of a luxurious car and begins a stroll through the streets of St Petersburg, striking up an acquaintance with Alyosha (Pavel Barshak) and, later, best friend Petya (Yevgeni Tsyganov). Whilst feeding them increasingly fanciful stories, she plays them against one another as they traverse and explore the beautiful and bustling city. Set in mostly real time, the three twenty-somethings act as if the world is their due and they live to enjoy every moment of it. A film alive with energy that builds to a twist at the end... "A cinematic adrenaline rush." - Melbourne International Film Festival.
