Rock, Rock, Rock!

An invaluable document of the early days of rock 'n roll, "Rock, Rock, Rock!" stars Tuesday Weld (in her film debut) as a pubescent rock 'n' roll devotee. Legenday DJ Alan Freed (the annointed 'King of Rock 'n' Roll', who also sings with his 18 piece orchestra) introduces some of the biggest names in early rock 'n' roll, including Chuck Berry (duck-walking through "You Can't Catch Me"), Frankie Lymon, LaVern Baker (of "Jim Dandy" fame), original doo-woppers the Moonglows (a few years before Marvin Gaye joined), and the Flamingos. Connie Francis provides the singing voice for Tuesday Weld in this classic rock 'n' roll time warp.
