King Lear (Magee)

An ageing King Lear decides to divide his Kingdom between his three daughters, according to their proclaimed love for him. However, when his youngest daughter, Cordelia, refuses to falsely flatter him, she is banished from the Kingdom leaving her two sisters, Goneril and Regan, to look after their father and everything he has bestowed upon them. Only when they turn their father into a storm does King Lear realise the error of his ways... Shakespeare's tragic masterpiece is brought to life in this superb production of "King Lear", starring Patrick Magee.
