Based on Irish playwright/revolutionary Brendan Behan's autobiographical tale but blending in elements of his later life, including a controversial gay subplot, this compelling biodrama stars Shawn Hatosy as 16-year-old Behan, sent to reform school for pro-IRA activities in '40s England. There, Behan endures brutal treatment while discovering an interest in drama and attractions to both the warden's daughter and an opening gay friend. With Danny Dyer, Eva Birthistle, Michael York.
