Lords of Dogtown

Stacy Peralta wrote the screenplay for this filmisation of his 2001 documentary 'Dogtown and Z-Boys'. Recalling the story of pioneer skaters Tony Alva (Victor Rasuk), Jay Adams (Emile Hirsch) and Peralta himself (John Robinson) as they hang out in the Venice, California skater community of Dogtown in the 1970s. Features outstanding skate action and a scene-stealing Heath Ledger as the manky surf shop owner who supports their radical ideas.
