Something The Lord Made

The emotional and incredible true story of two medical pioneers - Alfred Blalock (Alan Rickman) Chief Surgeon at John Hopkins University and Vivien Thomas (Mos Def) a carpenter with a keen interest in medicine who Blalock took on as a lab assistant. Together they discovered a revolutionary technique that would allow them to perform heart surgery on so-called 'blue babies'. Well-crafted with a stand-out cast that includes Kyra Sedgwick and Charles S Dutton.
