In Her Shoes
Sisters Maggie (Cameron Diaz) and Rose (Toni Collette) couldn't be more different. Maggie is irresponsible and free-spirited, always leaning on her straight-laced older sister for money, but having lost their mother young, the two are very close. Shirley MacLaine shines as the grandmother they never knew and Curtis Hanson's treatment of the well-loved novel is a consummate mix of drama, pathos and wicked comedy.
