An Oedipal story full of magic, Niankoro is a young warrior who must confront an evil sorcerer who is also his father. His quest takes him through a cross-section of West African cultures full of extraordinary landscapes and folklore, filmed masterfully by pioneering filmmaker Souleymane Cisse.
