This collection of seven shorts from the legendary Charlie Chaplin includes: "Cruel, Cruel Love" (1914, 9 min.) - Charlie, having been caught flirting with the maid, is jilted by his sweetheart. Deciding to end it all, he takes poison which really isn't poison after all but merely a glass of water. Upon receiving a note of forgiveness from his beloved, he thinks it's too late. "The Landlandy's Pet (1914, 12 min.) - Charlie is the star boarder in Minta Durfee's rooming house. He gets preferential treatment at the dinner table. "Twenty Minutes of Love" (1914, 10 min.) - Charlie, strolling through a park, finds love all around. He happily joins too lovers on a bench but soon realises that two is company, three's a crowd. "Caught in a Cabaret" (1914, 16 min.) - Charlie is a waiter in a cheap cabaret, where he knocks obnoxious customers over the head. While on a break walking his dog he meets Mabel, saves her from a robber and tells a little lie that he is actually a bigwig. "A Busy Day" (1914, 6 min.) - Charlie appears in drag... his first female impersonation. he plays a jealous wife who catches her husband wooing a pretty girl. "The Fatal Mallet" (1914, 10 min.) - Charlie and Mack Sennett are rivals over Mabel's affection's. They struggle with one another over who will court her. "The Knockout" (1914, 25 min.) - Primarily a Fatty Arbuckle comedy. Charlie steals the show as the trouble-making referee of a boxing match.
