Fast Company

Early in his career, horror maven David Cronenberg directed this auto racing drama about a veteran driver (William Smith) who runs afoul of a crooked executive (John Saxon) at the oil company sponsoring him. He winds up having to battle for his job and his life, and of course we're offered plenty of breathtaking racing scenes, some of them real, others skillfully reenacted.
