Beyond the Gates of Splendor

In 1956, a group of five American missionaries in Ecuador were killed by the members of the Waodani Indian tribe that they were visiting. This outstanding documentary examines how relatives of the slain men subsequently spent time with the Waodanis and ultimately helped to change their savage culture through teachings of love and forgiveness.
