Anand is a Punjabi boy just arrived in New Delhi, only he can't find a place to stay because noone will take in someone from a different caste then their own. Finally he poses as a Tamil and is taken in by a Tamil family. He falls for the daughter of a household visitor and all is set for marriage, but can Anand keep his secret? A wonderfully entertaining Bollywood comedy classic.
