Bang Rajan

A blockbuster epic from Thailand based on the 1765 invasion by Burma. The only thing standing between the Burmese Army and the (then Siamese) capital is the tiny village of Bang Rajan. Determined to fight, they turn to a reclusive soldier of fortune who lives in the nearby wilderness. Cue awesome battle scenes. Breaking budget and box office records at home this sweeping historical drama echoes the still-present tensions on the Thai-Burmese border.
