Dirty War

Set in the near future, Scotland Yard have learned a terrorist cell in London have manufactured and may be about to detonate a small thermonuclear device known as a 'dirty bomb'. Unable to stop the terrorists, the bomb goes off in London's financial district and it soon becomes clear that the city's emergency services are ill-equipped for such an event. A collaboration by the BBC and US cable network HBO, this realistic film was made after extensive research into England's civil defence structure and long before the bombings that took place there in July 2005.
