Swastika

Produced by David Puttnam in 1973, this revelatory documentary tracks the rise of Hitler's Nazi regime and the seduction of the German people, using file footage and Eva Braun's home movies, famously discovered by the then 19-year-old director, Philippe Mora. Letting the filmic evidence weave the story there is no interpretive narration. A fascinating historical document.
