The Detective

Based on the novel by Roderick Thorp, this gritty crime drama stars Frank Sinatra as a cop assigned to investigate the murder of a prominent gay man. After the confession and execution of the victim's roommate, Sinatra uncovers evidence that links the killing to a seamy underworld of sex and drugs, an elaborate real estate scam, and deep-seated police corruption.
