Capote

In 1959 author Truman Capote read an article about the home invasion and slaying of a Kansas family that led to his personal investigation and subsequent best-selling book, 'In Cold Blood'. This emotionally absorbing bio-pic makes this the core around which the life of Capote himself, played in a mesmerizing turn by Phillip Seymour Hoffman, is examined. Based on Gerald Clarke's biography and nominated for five Academy Awards, this arrestingly honest film also stars Chris Cooper and Catherine Keener as Capote's friend and fellow author, Harper Lee.
