The Ghost Breakers

Ghosts and gags collide, with Bob Hope as a Manhattan radio commentator who finds himself on the run from the mob and marooned on a haunted island, along with heiress Paulette Goddard. Also features Anthony Quinn and don't blink or you'll miss Robert Ryan's screen debut as an uncredited intern. Adapted from a play which had a short run on Broadway in 1913, penned by Paul Dickey and Charles W. Goddard, this film version prompted the New York Times to say "Audiences Shriek with Laughter And Fright At The Same Time."
