The Story of Ruth

Telling the biblical story of Ruth the Moabite who, after the death of her husband, accompanies her mother-in-law when she returns to her homeland of Israel. Eschewing her idol-worshipping ways, Ruth converts to the religion of the Hebrews, thus securing a place in history for a young carpenter several generations later. Following a huge talent search, Israeli actress Elana Eden was chosen to play Ruth, the Old Testament tale received a few boosts from dramatic licence and this entertaining, small-scale religious epic was born.
